Dates: Saturday 31st October 2009
Time: 10:30am - 4:30pm
HOW IS THE COURSE TAUGHT?
The course is taught in small groups (no more than 10 people). You will spend most of the day out in the East End taking part in a treasure hunt to produce the best images. You will team up with some of your course-mates to solve clues that will lead you to different destinations around Shoreditch, and at the same time show you how to take great photos.
While trying to solve the clues you will have to use your camera in new ways and will finally understand how to use each function and really get the best out of each picture. The course tutor will be on hand to answer all your questions and to help you to get the results you want.
Everyone will gain something regardless of his/her specific approach or technical level. The workshop will combine concise classroom tuition and outdoor adventures, with an emphasis on putting into practice the skills gained immediately - supported by helpful guidance, care and attention.

WHAT IS IT?
If you've spent hours carefully selecting exactly the right point and shoot camera, one that guarantees brilliant design, millions of functions and zillions of mega pixels, and excitedly headed out to shoot, shoot, shoot...only to find your pictures look exactly the same as before, then this is the course for you.
This course is for those with basic point and shoot cameras and will teach you how to get the most out of your camera, and to learn how to take great photos of your life, whilst moving away from the traditional technical classroom tuition. The focus of the course is on fun photography, with the aim of showing that the camera you use is not important, but that the photographer using it is.
PRICE: The course costs £75
====================
You will need your own digital POINT AND SHOOT camera but DO NOT need to know its basic functions and capacities. This course is suitable for beginner levels.
====================
WHO IS IT FOR?
You're proud of your camera but not of all your pictures.
You don't know much about photography and you want to improve your photos.
You've got ideas but find yourself missing the knowledge and experience to realise them.
If you have answered yes to any of the above then this workshop is for you!
WHO WILL BE TEACHING THE COURSE?
You will be in the capable hands of Andre Penteado, a well established photographer in Brazil and the UK with over 10 years experience and work published for Dell, Pirelli, British Film Institute, Big Issue, Time Out and more.
QUOTE
"Expecting a typical, this is how to use your digital camera course, I was pleasantly surprised to find so much more including questions such as, "Why am I taking this picture?" and "Where should I position myself to make this interesting?"
