STEP 1 Arrive at the Tabernacle at 11:15am

STEP 2 Bring a map (A-Z) of the area.

STEP 3 The team leader must sign their team in on the day.

STEP 4 We recommend you bring two cameras - one to try out ideas and take photos of the day that you will keep, and the other to take your final photographs - this will be the memory card you hand in for judging at the end of the day with only eight photographs (your memory card will be returned before you leave).

STEP 5 Take to the streets of Portobello for a super exciting day!

Back again for the fourth year running, our West-side Spring event is always a big one.

This year Shoot Portobello will be a story event - each team will be given a selection of words and phrases from a pre-written story and will construct photos to represent their pieces of the tale. All the photos are then compiled to create a unique photographic storyboard, revealed in full on the big screen. Prizes are awarded for the best and most creative photos.

STORY ANNOUNCED: Alice in Wonderland!

We’ve embraced the Alice fever that’s sweeping the country and re-written the trippy classic to bring Portobello to techni-colour life. Expect talking tattoos, carnival queens and Portobello mushrooms!

£15 doesn't last as long as it used to these days...it could get you two hours and an overdose of e-numbers at the cinema, an hour catching up over cocktails, a couple of hours working up a sweat in a salsa class OR...

A WHOLE day of the most fun you can have discovering unknown corners of London, unleashing your creativity PLUS being invited to a private view and seeing your photos exhibited in a gallery.

STEP 1 Form a team of two to four people.

STEP 2 Choose a team name and a team leader. The team leader must sign-up and pay for the team online.

STEP 3 BUY TICKETS on-line. Tickets cost £15.00 per person.
(Tickets are limited and can only be purchased before the event)

STEP 4 Make sure your camera battery is charged and removable memory card cleared before the day. Please also read the rules before coming along and pass the info on to your team mates.

A selection of photos from the event will be exhibited at a London gallery in the coming year. Details to be confirmed. This is your chance to become an exhibited artist!
