Below are a small selection of David Gibson's work.

THIS PHOTOWALK IS NOW FULL! Due to popular demand we have scheduled an additional photowalk on SUN 10 OCT.
Street photography in east London:
an Appreciation & Photowalk
David Gibson is one of the founder members of in-public, the international collective of street photographers whose members and subjects range from Melbourne to New York. For nearly twenty years David’s territory has been London and in particular the East End of London.
In a new venture for Shoot Experience, we invite you to join David for an appreciation of Street Photography followed by a Photowalk around the East End.
The day will begin with a slide-show presentation of street photographers who have recorded this ever-changing part of London from celebrated to lesser-known photographers, including some of David's own photographs. David will then lead a three hour Photowalk around East London revisiting the locations of some of the images discussed. The aim of the day will be to offer David's personal insight into the aesthetics and meaning of street photography but also to offer a quirky snapshot of a very diverse area of London from the 1930’s to the present day.
David will impart some of his knowledge of street photography whilst walking with you and will provide plenty of opportunity to take photos along the way. The Photowalk will finish up at the photomonth photofair in Spitalfields Market at 2:30pm. The photofair takes place once a year and consists of hundreds of stalls selling prints, equipment and all sorts of photography related goods.
WHO IS IT FOR?
• You have an appreciation for street photography and would like to spend half a day immersing yourself in it.
• You enjoy taking photos.
• You enjoy a social day out with like-minded individuals.
If you have answered yes to any of the above then this workshop is for you!
QUOTE
"Thanks again for a really enjoyable and educational weekend."
Dan Hawthorn
HOW IS THE DAY STRUCTURED?
The Photowalk is for intimate groups of no more than 10 people. You will see the delightful East End (Shoreditch, Spitalfields, Brick Lane) with fresh eyes and pick up a few tips and tricks along the way.
Everyone will gain something regardless of his/her specific approach or technical level.
You may be encouraged to partake in one or two interactive challenges designed to encourage creative experimentation.
Where possible, David will be able to review some of your photos along the way. You will never see the streets or your camera in the same light again!

Photowalk delegates qualify for a FREE place on a Shoot Experience public event, valued at between £7.50 and £15. (this does not apply to all events, check the event INFO pages for eligibility or email hello@shootexperience.com for details)
